Ask questions to the speakers

During a plenary meeting whereby one or more speakers give a presentation, the audience is given the opportunity to pose questions anonymously or to send in their reactions. Especially if the speaker has a certain profile, this method will make it easier for your audience to ask questions without feeling insecure. Some of the speakers like to answer questions during their presentation, while others prefer to do this just after their presentation has ended.

Example of an organisation who has successfully used this concept: the Dutch Accountants Guild [NBA]

Employee satisfaction research

Ask your team critical questions on matters like the current policy, new processes and leadership styles. Normally with this you would get answers that are socially desirable. Because of the anonymity, your team will feel comfortable to say what’s on their mind. As an organization you can either discuss the results on the spot or you can decide to first listen and only use the results on a later moment to improve the employee satisfaction.

Example of an organisation who has successfully used this concept: Effectory

Create excitement during sports games

Who will be first to reach the finish? Ask your audience and present the outcomes on a screen in the stadium. The audience will feel the excitement building up!

Examples of organisations who have successfully used this concept: Thialf, KPN
