Engage

Rating: a scale the whole room can answer

Rating is a Sendsteps question type. Students score a statement on a scale, for example stars or a Likert range. Every student takes part. You see how confident, agreed, or ready the group is, without a show of hands.

When to use it

Use it for agreement, confidence, difficulty, or how ready the group feels to move on. Works with one statement or several in a row.

How it feeds the loop

The scale is a Validate picture of the group, not only the loudest voices. A low cluster is a signal to slow down. Improve can work from that pattern. AI recommends, teachers decide.

Questions about Rating

Rating is a question type in Engage. Students score one or more statements on a scale. The whole group answers on their own devices.

Is this the same as a Poll?

A Poll is a choice among options. Rating is a score on a scale. Use Rating when you need intensity or agreement, not a single pick.

Do quieter students have to speak?
