Steps

You need a link. The live page Join session has no button for the voice-over.

  1. Open the link you received. The person who runs the presentation copies it from Self-paced session. That screen says Self-paced session is ready. Share this join link with people.
  2. On your device, the slide is on one side and the question on the other.
  3. Choose Play transcript. The voice starts.
  4. To read the words, choose Show transcript. A panel opens, titled Transcript.
  5. To put the words on the slide, choose Turn subtitles on.

On a shared slideshow

If you received a slideshow link instead, look for the speaker button. Its name is Voice-over (V). Choose it to play. It is there when the presentation already has a voice-over.

What you see

The audio plays. Play transcript changes to Stop playback.

While the transcript is open, the same control says Hide transcript. While subtitles are on, it says Turn subtitles off.

If it does not work

If the slide has no audio, you see No audio for this slide. The voice has to be added first. See Add a voice-over.

If there are no words to read, the transcript panel says This slide has no transcript.
